Lesley Barnett joined Stevens in 1995 as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. She left the firm to pursue other career paths before returning as a Duty Solicitor and Higher Courts’ Advocate, initially in the Magistrates’ Department. Lesley currently works in the Crown Court department but has responsibility for the Alsager and Burslem offices, together with the Cheshire Duty Rota schemes. She also deals with the firm’s compliance with the Lexcel Accreditation Scheme and the Legal Aid Agency. Lesley has experience of dealing with a wide range of matters such as murder, manslaughter, drug related offences, assaults and offences against public order. She has also worked in-house dealing with regulatory matters and proceedings before the Traffic Commissioner.
